6th Consortium Meeting
✈️ On 22–23 July 2026, the EFACA consortium gathered in Munich, Germany, for its 6th Consortium Meeting, bringing partners together to review progress across the project and align on the work still to be completed before its conclusion.
The first day focused on EFACA’s core technical activities, with sessions dedicated to the hybrid gearbox combining gas turbine and electric motor technologies, hydrogen fuel cells with phase cooling, liquid hydrogen fuel systems, regional aircraft concepts, the preliminary design of a single-aisle aircraft powered by liquid hydrogen, and the project roadmap. Partners also discussed preparations for Reporting Period 3 and the final reporting process.
The second day broadened the discussion to project management, dissemination and communication, emissions, aircraft noise and local air quality, battery power, sustainable aviation fuels, and further development of the EFACA roadmap. The consortium also reviewed the key action items for the September–December 2026 period, helping partners coordinate priorities for the final months of the project.
The meeting concluded with the Advisory Board Meeting, providing an opportunity to reflect on progress, gather external perspectives and ensure that the consortium remains aligned as EFACA moves towards its final results and deliverables.
